Quite natural. But somehow too fast.
The films of the “Slave” franchise are currently among the highest-grossing films in Russian film distribution. We will not say now why this happens; Let us only note that “Slave” set records long before the West introduced illegal anti-Russian restrictions, which forced film companies to leave the Russian market. Of course, the lack of real competition for the viewer’s money and time has significantly boosted the demand for domestic cinema, and this fact is clearly noticeable from the information published by the Film Distributor’s Bulletin regarding the plans of the Central Partnership company to release the threequel “Slave” in January 2025.
According to the information available to the media, the release of “Slave 3” should take place on January 23 next year, which, of course, is very strange, because the entire box office of the first two films was ensured by their screening during the New Year holidays, when people have a lot of free time. time, and the desire to spend it well.
Let us recall that “Slave 2” this year became the second highest-grossing film in Russian film distribution in general – including all previously released foreign films – collecting 3.8 billion rubles. In this rating, the film directed by Klim Shipenko was second only to last year’s film “Cheburashka,” which collected more than 6 billion rubles.
