Google Pixel 8a would be sold more expensive than the Pixel 7a, according to a new rumor. Last year, Googla also increased the price of the Pixel 7a (test) due to upgraded hardware. This could be repeated this year, according to rumors.
Based on the alleged retail listing detail shared by leaker Roland Quandt of WinFuture, the Google Pixel 8a would be available in two storage variants, at least in France. The base model armed with 128 GB storage would be priced at €569, while the 256 GB option will retail for €630.

The price of the Pixel 8a would be closer to smartphones like the Galaxy S23 FE (test) which is sold at €699.00 and the new OnePlus 12R (test).
We do not know the reason behind this possible price increase for the Google Pixel 8a, but it is most likely due to pressure from the manufacturer's suppliers. From what we know, the Pixel 8a should have a solid spec sheet to justify the planned price increase.
According to the renderings, the mid-range smartphone would have a new design similar to that of the Pixel 8 (test) with rounder borders and an updated photo module visor.
Internally, it would be powered by the Tensor G3 which enables a suite of AI features and faster wired charging speed. It could also benefit from 7 years of software support similar to that of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.
The Pixel 8a would be offered in new colors. The options outlined include a new Mint hue that the Pixel 8 offers and a shade of blue known as Bay, in addition to the familiar Porcelain and Obsidian finishes.
At present, it is unclear when the Pixel 8a will be official. However, it could be presented at the annual I/O conference in May or June.
