Samsung has scheduled the presentation of the mid-range Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 smartphones for next Monday, March 11. Ahead of the presentation, well-known insider Evan Blass (@evleaks) published official images of the new products, giving an idea of their appearance.
The Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 smartphones are almost identical in design, but differ in specifications and sizes. The Galaxy A55 is slightly larger than its predecessor, but still smaller than the A35. The Galaxy A55 uses a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The Galaxy A35 has a 6.6-inch AMOLED display with the same parameters as the Galaxy A55.
The new items also differ in cameras. The Galaxy A55 has a main camera with a 50-megapixel sensor, a 12-megapixel wide-angle module and a 5-megapixel macro camera. A 32-megapixel front camera is used for taking selfies. In turn, the Galaxy A35 is equipped with a main camera with a 50-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel sensor with wide-angle optics, and a 5-megapixel macro module. The resolution of the front camera is 13 megapixels.
According to rumors, both smartphones received 5000 mAh batteries with support for 25 W charging. It is also reported that new models will receive operating system updates for four years and patches and security updates for five years.
