It's been 3 years since Unknown 9: Awakening was presented at the Gamescom 2020 event. It was a trailer that managed to spark the interest of many players, but we haven't had much news until now, which has reappeared during the Xbox Partner Preview event.
The new trailer presented by Xbox lasts a minute and a half, but it has been enough to show the improved facets of Unknown 9: Awakening: action, dark magic, stealth and mystery. We put ourselves in the shoes of Haroona (Anya Chalotra, Yennefer in The Witcher), a heroine who was abandoned as a child on the streets of India and who has supernatural powers: creating shields to protect herself, invading minds and more.
“You will step into Haroona's shoes after a loss that changes your life. At first, all you seek is revenge, but the universe of Unknown 9 “He has other plans,” says the description on the official blog. We also meet the main antagonist, Vincent Lichter and his group of villains, who plan to use dark powers to endanger the future of humanity.
It is developed by Reflector, a studio led by the former creative director of Assassin's Creed Unity and which was purchased by Bandai Namco. Its story is located in a transmedia universe, which involves more media beyond video games. Unknown 9: Awakening will be released in summer 2024 and will be available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
