Albion Online, a cross-platform fantasy MMORPG for PC, iOS and Android developed by Berlin-based developer Sandbox Interactive, is getting a new server in Europe in April and is attracting old and new players to the huge open-world sandbox with two founder's packs. The new server and its infrastructure should now significantly improve connection rates and ping and reduce latency. The developers promise:
New start in Europe
A fresh start in an untouched version of the game, where all players can start fresh and conquer their own part of Albion. Significantly improved connection speeds and better ping for the entire Europe, Middle East and North Africa region. A new game world that completely separate and independent from the two existing servers.Times optimized for the region for game events such as territory battles and faction wars.Playable in all languages supported by Albion Online, including the two newest: Turkish and Arabic.
With the introduction of the new European server, the two existing servers in the USA and Asia will be renamed. Albion West becomes Albion America, while Albion East becomes Albion Asia. The new server list will then look like this from April 2024:

Startup packages promise benefits
In keeping with the European launch of Albion Online, Sandbox Interactive is offering the two founder packages “Light” and “Dark” in different founder levels.

With the purchase they also offer the possibility of reserving existing character and guild names, as the developers explain in their announcement. Sales of the founder's packages start on March 11th, as the official timeline for the European launch reveals.

But technically, Albion Online is also an interesting fantasy MMORPG because it has taken a truly cross-platform approach.

Albion Online is designed from the ground up as a cross-platform fantasy MMORPG and natively supports Linux as well as Windows. The game is also available as an app for iOS, iPadOS and Android and allows you to play together across all platforms. The game was awarded the German Computer Game Prize and rated 79 out of 100 points on OpenCritic.
