RiffRaff Games studio announced a game called Sleight of Hand as part of the Xbox Partner Preview. It is announced for release only on Xbox Series X | S and PC, plus immediately after release the project will become part of the Game Pass subscription. At the moment, Sleight of Hand does not have a release date, but the developers are aiming for 2025.
Details Sleight of Hand
After the announcement of Sleight of Hand, some details about the project became known:
The developers themselves say that Sleight of Hand is a game in a new genre: deck-building stealth action. In the game you will take on the role of Lady Luck, who was previously an “occult detective”, and according to the plot of the game, she returns to her old city to “do the last job.” The heroine’s main weapon is a cursed deck of cards, which allows her to use a variety of abilities: teleportation, traps, blinding, and so on. There will also be artifacts in the game that allow you to gain various passive abilities. As players progress through Sleight of Hand, players will develop their deck of cards. Game CEO Joshua Boggs emphasizes that the project is inspired by Hideo Kojima's work in the stealth genre, but the studio is also looking to expand the boundaries of such games with new interesting ideas.
