In recent years has Disney some classics of the past with one Live-Action-Version brought back. Films like Arielle the mermaid, The Lion King or Beauty and the Beast are sometimes already in Evil landed. And things will continue happily in the next few years. For example, the end of 2024 is Mufasa: The Lion King – a prequel to the live-action film. In 2025, Disney wants to release new editions of Snow White and Vaiana bring to the start.
Remake of a Disney classic has been canceled
While Disney has many more live-action projects planned, one of the films now appears to be no longer being made. This is the live-action film adaptation of The Witch and the Wizard. The animated classic from 1963 was actually supposed to be for Disney Plus to be produced. According to an interview with Carlos Fresnadillowho was originally involved in the project, the chances are no longer that good.

Disney has canceled other projects
Just this week Disney CEO Bob Iger at a conference in San Francisco revealed that one has quietly and secretly dropped some films.
