As you well know by now, an update for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was published this afternoon which introduced support for New Game Plus and many other new features. However, it would seem that the update in question has accidentally unlocked a secret menu, within which important references to the expansion have been found.
The update has in fact unlocked access to a menu designed exclusively for developers. Although opening this menu can corrupt saves and unlock trophies, some fearless users have stepped forward and decided to explore the Dev Menu to discover some secrets about the exclusive PlayStation 5 by Insomniac Games.
The enthusiasts' research has borne fruit, since among the many items on these menus obvious references to Beetlethe Marvel villain known in Italian territory by the name of Scarab. According to the findings shared on Reddit, it would seem that the game contains references to a narrative arc relating precisely to this enemy of Spider-Man, with connections to various cutscene which however do not lead to any video content. It also seems that there is a boss fight against this character.
It seems clear that this is a possible reference toexpansion of Marvel's Spider-Man which, just as happened with Miles Morales in the first chapter, will expand the game story.
