Without his crown, but with more style than ever. The princess of the Mushroom Kingdom stars Nintendo's big premiere in 2024 (as far as we know) on a Switch that buys time for its successor with remakes capable of dazzling. And even though good Mario is not in this adventure, nor is he expected, Princess Peach Showtime! It wants to be the big Nintendo surprise of the year. What's more, you can now play the opening stages completely free.
Repeating the same play we saw with Mario vs. Donkey Kong last month, the demo of Princess Peach Showtime! has suddenly arrived on the eShop, which starts more or less the same as the full version and allows us to play different levels and test Swordswoman Peach's transformation in combat or prepare a sweet cake as Pastry Peach. Nothing bad.
Announced in the middle of last year, Princess Peach Showtime! It is Peach's second major solo adventure after Super Princess Peach. Of course, don't expect a sequel to the Nintendo DS title: to begin with, the game's theme is based on the excitement of theatrical performances, making each scenario a kind of fun performance. Something that looks especially good in the demo.
But the most unique thing of all is that our protagonist will be able to disguise herself between adventures, accessing unique skills and powers that range from detective skills to superheroine or Kung-Fu expert. Giving an extra point of variety to her adventure without leaving a scenario in which we are attacked by criminals who end up with mermaid tails.
Princess Peach Showtime! bet on that fun capable of captivating everyone. Its levels are perfect for both the little ones in the house and for those who have all the Super Mario character games released on Switch, borrowing very specific elements from the house's titles, but creating a tailored experience for a princess with a certain tendency to get into trouble, but as adventurous and brave as the Mario brothers.
Nintendo does not give a stitch without a thread and launches the demo of Princess Peach Showtime! right between the seventh anniversary of Nintendo Switch and the preparations for a Mario day (Mar10 Day) which this year will coincide on Sunday. Now, upon completing this appetizer we will be formally reminded that the countdown to its launch has officially begun: the next big event of the Big N will be March 22nd. And be careful, Mariomania continues on Switch: this year we will have a double reunion with the HD version Luigi's Mansion 2 and Paper Mario.
