Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is updated today with the long-awaited New Game + mode, announced months ago and which is only now making its way to the PlayStation 5 blockbuster by Insomniac Games. The NG+ mode also adds several other new features and above all new costumes for Peter Parker and Miles Morales, including one taken from the cover of Miles Morales: Spider-Man #8. It will also be possible to purchase the Gameheads Fly N' Fresh costume package to support Gameheads, which is actively involved in representation in the video game industry. Up to one million dollars will be donated to Gameheads charity.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2: not just New Game+. Lots of new things coming
The New Game + mode will allow you, as the name suggests, to start the game over from scratch while retaining all the progress from the previous run. Every power, costume and perk will be there waiting for you. Obviously, this mode will put you up against much more powerful enemies, so it won't be a walk in the park. There is also the possibility of repeat missions individually, tackle Ultimate Levels (NG+) and change the time of day. Insomniac Games has also put additional effort into the accessibility features of Marvel's Spider-Man, including audio descriptions and screen reading.
This feature, a first for Insomniac Games, will read not only the various menu settings, but “also the ASMQ app and all touch pad menus, including map, skill tree, technical data and more,” explains Sam Schaffel, Accessibility Design Researcher for Insomniac Games. “Customizable captions will be available for cutscenes, off-screen noises, musical commentary and key sound effects, in a clear and concise format, making them easily readable even during the most intense scenes. We put all our passion and care into creating these new features, 60 in total, to improve the player experience.”
Finally, at a cost of €4.99, gamers will be able to purchase the Fly N' Fresh package which will contain the following costumes:

“We are about bringing out new talent and new voices in the world of gaming, educating students about technology and preparing them for college, for a career, for a role in the community.
