After yesterday's leak, “STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy” is now available in the PlayStation Store. However, there is a small catch.
After Japanese retailers confirmed the “STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy” a little too early, the trilogy was officially announced as part of the current “Xbox Partner Preview” episode yesterday, Wednesday evening.
To the delight of interested players, “STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy” was promptly released on the Xbox and PlayStation Stores. The implementations of the three survival shooter classics can be purchased here either individually for 19.99 euros or in a bundle that contains all three titles for 39.99 euros be acquired.

For the current consoles, the developers promise graphical improvements and new features with which they make use of the technical possibilities of the current consoles.
A specific date has not yet been given for the current-gen upgrades.

But even if you only play the “STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy” on the old consoles or via the backwards compatibility of the current systems, there are various innovations compared to the originals. These include a completely new user interface and controls tailored to the consoles.
In addition, the developers promise modernized shooter mechanics and beefed up graphics. At a later date, the implementations for the consoles will be provided with “mod.io” support. A feature that also gives you access to all kinds of mods on consoles.

The “STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy” includes the first three parts of the series with “STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl” from 2007, “STALKER: Clear Sky” (2008) and “STALKER: Call of Pripyat” (2009). .
GSC Game World is currently working on “STALKER 2”. The latest offshoot of the series will be released on September 5, 2024 for the PC and Xbox Series X/S.
