The Radeon RX 7900 XT has now established itself in German retail at prices around or even below 720 euros. As a look at Geizhals' PCGH price comparison reveals, several custom designs from Asus, Sapphire, Powercolor,
AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX and 7900 XT in the PCGH test
PCGH summarizes the situation in German retail for you and presents you with the currently best offers for purchasing an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT in a custom design. The RDNA-3 upper class is now becoming increasingly affordable.
Custom designs start at 719 euros
The PowerColor Hellhound Radeon RX 7900 XT is currently the cheapest custom design based on the Navi 31 XT, which has 5,376 shader units and is flanked by 20 GiBytes of GDDR6 graphics memory and is currently available in retail in this country from 719.00 euros. A total of five manufacturer models are currently positioned in the price range around or even below 760 euros.
The small online shop dotcomp.de currently even has an XFX Speedster MERC 310 on offer for 707 euros, but this is probably only a snapshot. The dealer usually appears rarely. All other best prices are currently provided by Mindfactory.
Asus and Gigabyte in wait
Two other custom designs from Asus and Gigabyte are currently in waiting and are now also below the 800 euro limit. The first guard of custom designs is led by AMD's exclusive partners PowerColor, XFX and Sapphire. Nevertheless, the following makes may well be worth a closer look for players who want to upgrade.
The custom design from Asus is a price tip, not least because of a cashback campaign that is currently running. Asus will refund an amount of 100 euros when you purchase this model, which is why the Asus TUF Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XT OC is available for only 699 euros. The promotion runs until March 31, 2024.
Cashback for Radeon RX 7000: Asus will refund up to 100 euros when purchasing an RDNA 3 graphics card
Asus has started a cashback campaign and will refund players up to 100 euros when purchasing a selected RDNA 3 graphics card from the Radeon RX 7000 series.
Based on the RRP, which was 1,049 euros, the Radeon RX 7900 XT has fallen in price by more than 30 percent since its market launch and is therefore becoming increasingly attractive for gamers who prefer WQHD (“1440p”) or UHD (“2160p “) play. It seems only a matter of time before the first offers around or even below 700 euros appear in Geizhals' PCGH price comparison.
The Radeon RX 7900 GRE is also attractive
The currently biggest competition to the Radeon RX 7900 XT in retail in terms of price-performance ratio comes from our own company and is called the Radeon RX 7900 GRE (“Golden Rabbit Edition”). The graphics card, which was previously intended exclusively for Chinese retailers, is now also available in this country in a custom design.
In the PCGH performance index for graphics cards, the Radeon RX 7900 GRE is positioned 18 to 21 percent behind an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT, depending on the resolution, and can therefore be a good choice, especially for WQHD gaming.
