HP is one of the best-known brands in the world of computers, however, when talking about peripherals more focused on performance, particularly in more “enthusiast” classes, it is not normal to see products from the manufacturer in the discussion. What is wrong! Especially in these more recent times, with HP investing heavily and well in its sub-brand OMEN.
Having said all this, today we have an extremely interesting monitor for analysis, which tries to combine design, specifications, and price, all in the same exact product. Let's take a look at the OMEN 27 FHD Gaming Monitor range.

Design
It's a monitor that doesn't complicate things! We have a flat screen, with edges that are not thin but not exaggerated either, but still, with a lot of build quality, something that is very typical of HP, especially in these more special ranges.
It's beautiful and looks great on any desk. In fact, despite belonging to the OMEN range, and therefore having access to some features more focused on gaming, it could very well fit in almost perfectly in an office. Especially because in terms of image quality, we are actually quite well served.
It's also worth saying that we have lots of good connectivity (2x HDMI / 1x DisplayPort / 3.5mm), as well as controls well hidden on the back of it.
The stand has some adjustment, and is also one of the easiest to assemble and disassemble, allowing you to mount the stand with the monitor still in the box, so you don't have to do complicated stunts with an expensive piece of hardware on hand.
Performance
As we said above, we have good image quality, as well as the ability to go up to 165Hz. However, it must be said that there are two other versions of this monitor on the market, all the same except for the maximum frequency. We have another cheaper version capable of going up to 144Hz, and another slightly more expensive version capable of going up to 240Hz.
That said, in all models we have a very desirable response time of 1ms, an anti-reflective layer so that even the most annoying lights cannot distract you, and of course, a viewing angle of 178º (vertical and horizontal) which is undeniably very good. In reality, we have all the advantages of an IPS panel, here at a much more affordable price.
It is also worth noting that the support is quite robust, allows some adjustment, and does not shake when “typing” extremely aggressively on the keyboard. Fulfill your mission.
If you don't want to use the support, you can always opt for any other utensil with VESA 100*100 standard.
In my opinion, it is a very interesting monitor for those who want quality, but don't care about paying a lot for the latest technologies on the market.
Conclusion
The brand didn’t want to reinvent the wheel. It is a simple monitor, with a lot of quality thanks to an IPS LCD panel, which appears on the market at an attractive price. All this with the old but always desirable HP quality in the mix.
