Citroën was the brand that grew the most in the Portuguese automotive sector during the month of February. With a surprising expansion in sales, the company consolidated its position as one of consumers' favorites in Portugal.
In February, Citroën reached the mark of 1,679 vehicles sold. This represents an increase in 124,2% compared to the previous year. This growth places Citroën in second place year-to-date in the passenger car (VP) and Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) segments.
The C3 model has proven to be a favorite among consumers. It stands out as the fifth best-selling vehicle in Portugal during February. In addition to the C3, other models such as the C3 Aircross and C4 have also demonstrated strong performance, which contributes to the brand's growth.
New ë-C3 could give big boost
The new Citroën ë-C3 has generated buzz among consumers. This model reinforces the brand's commitment to electric mobility. It registered more than 620 pre-orders in Portugal by the end of January and 125 additional orders placed in February. The price starting at €23,300 is a big attraction.
Citroën also stood out in the electric vehicle segment. It leads sales among generalist brands in February, with a total of 245 units delivered. MY AMI continues to lead the quadricycle segment in Portugal, with 104 new units delivered in the first two months of the year. It achieved a market share of 38.1%.
