Those: Blizzard
March 8, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. – Diablo 4's Gauntlet shows which classes and builds are the strongest in Blizzard's ARPG. We take a look at the exam rankings.
In Diablo 4 you can now plunge into the new endgame challenge “Trials” or “Gauntlet”. In the prefabricated dungeon, the aim is to defeat as many monsters as quickly as possible and cleverly activate the other objectives such as shrines and chests. After some lead time, you can now see which classes and builds are rocking the Gauntlet.
Below we take a look at the data from WoWHead at the start of the Gauntlet The ranking list read out and the builds the individual Klassen filtered out. This is made possible by the profiles of players who have not set their profile to private. The reality looks a little different due to private profiles. In addition, players can theoretically troll by logging out after the Gauntlet runs with random builds to confuse the competition – but hardly anyone is likely to do that.
The best builds in the Gauntlet (Softcore)
Barbar
Unsurprisingly, some variants of the rush build have caught on. This is simply because speed is particularly important in the trials – monsters with good equipment fall over in one fell swoop anyway.
wizard
The Ball Lightning Wizard (ball lightning) but also the Arc Lash Build (electric whip) are currently the measure of all things. Using teleportation and a series of lightning balls, the wizard races through the Gauntlet the fastest, which is reflected in the total points for all classes, which we'll discuss below. Electric Whip is also excellent for wiping out lots of monsters across the screen.
Druid
There are some melee builds, but unsurprisingly nothing comes close to the Lightning Storm build. With the thunderstorms you also wipe out everything in sight (and sometimes out of sight).
Necromancer
Not surprisingly, the Bonespear build dominates for the Necromancer. Despite the minion buff, minion builds or blood builds are not as suited to the Gauntlet.
Hunter
A real top build for the trials has not yet emerged for the hunter, but the top 3 are currently playing one Spearfire-Build. Rogues, along with the Necromancer, are by far the slowest class for the Gauntlet or the class with the lowest score.
Wizards dominate the score (softcore)
Source: Blizzard Diablo 4: These classes and builds rock the Gauntlet rankings (2) The best wizard achieve up to with the Ball Lightning Build 1.2 million points and thus leave all classes behind (in softcore mode, mind you). It is therefore not surprising that teams with at least one magician lead the rankings in group play.
Barbarians come up to 1 million points, Druids and hunters on good 900,000 points and the best Necromancer scratch, was now (March 8th) at 900,000 points.
By the way, the points distribution looks different in hardcore mode. Here it is not sorcerers who dominate, but rather barbarians by a wide margin. Behind them, as in softcore mode, there are druids, necromancers and villains.
Even if wizards achieve significantly more points than other classes, this is not a problem for the solo rankings, because it is in the class rankings every class among themselves. However, it shows how strong some builds are compared to other classes. Necromancers, who only have a really strong build compared to other classes in Season 3, could use a few buffs along with the Hunters. Have you already taken the exams?
