The Korean age rating for the “Silent Hill 2” remake has emerged. In it, those responsible describe the level of violence of the survival horror game.

In more detail, the age rating comes from South Korea's Game Rating and Administration Committee. Those responsible describe the game as follows: “Horror adventure about a man who meets a woman who resembles his dead wife in a city he remembers.”
“Excessive violence” and “excessive gore” are part of the gaming experience – as are “depictions of dismemberment, including torn creatures.” Additionally, players can expect “excessive expressions of disgust and horror.” There is talk of creatures with strangely shaped limbs that make “bizarre noises”.
Development in the final phase
According to publisher Konami, the new edition is available as of last month shortly before completion. Motoi Okamoto said in precise terms that the team is “in the final phase of development.” So it shouldn’t be too long before you can experience Sunderland’s adventure again. The release is expected later this year.
The “Silent Hill 2 Remake” is coming out for PlayStation 5 and PC. Fans were able to take a look at the gameplay at Sony's State of Play in January. But the audience wasn't particularly enthusiastic. Then the Bloober Team spoke up and saidthe material shown is not really representative.
In the horror remake of the 2001 classic, you enter the abandoned town of Silent Hill as James Sunderland. Here he encounters surreal monsters, including the iconic Pyramid Head. As the plot progresses, you'll find out why the protagonist really ended up in this eerie city.
