Silknigth is a river in floodthe insider who became famous for having anticipated the announcement date of Ghost of Tsushima for PC seems to be well informed about Sony's affairs and reveals some very interesting background information.
Apparently Sony “has no intention of stopping the remaster machine” and currently has a series of re-releases (remakes and remasters) in development, in particular 2025 will be “a significant year for the brand” with probable reference to the celebrations for the 30th anniversary of PlayStationwhich falls on December 3, 2024.
Among the various projects in question, there do not appear to be re-releases of Killzone and Resistance planned, underlines the insider, who however does not comment on other possible names of remastered games or upcoming remakes.
Furthermore, Silknigth is unbalanced regarding a possible simultaneous release of Sony games on PS5 and PC. The company could test a simultaneous publication for smaller games like Until Dawn in Unreal Engine 5 due out in 2024 (or like the recent Helldivers 2, even if in this case we are talking about a second party game) for example, but the “big ” they should be untouchable for the time beingcontinuing to maintain the release first on PS5 and then on PC for the great narrative games from the PlayStation catalog.
At this point we just have to wait for any confirmations or denials on the existence of further remakes of PlayStation Studios games.
