The Star Wars universe is full of gray, increasingly. Not only by the Jedi, Sith and other Force-sensitives, but by all the characters who participate in its story. Despite all this, we retain characters who position themselves unequivocally on one side. Obi-Wan Kenobiplayed by Ewan McGregor, is the best example: many consider him the perfect Jedi Knight.
Both Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ewan McGregor are very loved by Star Wars fans, and we can safely say that the actor processes that same love for his character. Suffice it to remember that he happily agreed to put on the Jedi robe again for the Kenobi series on Disney Plus. And it was precisely as a result of the latter that he went to The Tonight Show to chat with Jimmy Fallon.
During the interview, the presenter asked him about one of the many curiosities that usually spread on the internet: “I heard that you do something that I find very funny,” he says at minute 5:02 of the video shared by the official channel. “That sometimes you do a Jedi hand movement, like you're using the Force. But it's just for fun…”
McGregor bursts out laughing when he hears Fallon. “Yes, with the automatic doors. I can't help it,” he tells the actor as they both burst out laughing. He confirms that he does it in supermarkets and airports. “At airports there are always automatic doors. I always do it for myself, but… I also hope there is someone to see me do it.” And we have seen Kenobi use the Force several times to open and close doors, like at the end of Revenge of the Sith. Who has not done this at some time? We are all McGregor!
