Players are supposedly in for a conflict in the spirit of Call of Duty.
Ubisoft is working on a new part of the Ghost Recon series of tactical action games, writes insider Tom Henderson. The game is allegedly known under the codename Project Ovr/Over.
Here's what Henderson has to say about the next part of Ghost Recon:
The events of the game take place during a fictional conflict, the Naiman War. Naiman is a southeastern country, during the conflict hundreds of thousands of people died here due to war crimes. The new Ghost Recon is a tactical shooter and almost a military simulator. Players will be in command of a small squad. The developers are inspired by Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Battlefield, Ready or Not and Squad.
Ready or Not looks something like this
The player's task is to carry out secret missions in a conflict zone, trying to find the traitor. Some tasks or scenes may be contradictory. For example, at some point the game's heroes almost shot a man with a child because they thought it was a bomb. In terms of graphics, the game took a big step forward; it can be compared to Ready or Not.
According to Henderson, the new Ghost Recon title will be released in 2025 or 2026.
