After last month's record-breaking Palworld, it's now Helldivers 2 that looks set to exceed all expectations from fans, the press and probably the creators as well. The predecessor was of course already a really good top-down shooter with a loyal fan base, but after the jump into the third dimension, Helldivers 2 is a complete success. We also threw ourselves into the (multiplayer) battles of the shooter and distributed “democracy” across the universe – you can read what we experienced and what we think of the new direction in our test cover story. The survival title Nightingale was also hotly anticipated in the run-up to the early access launch – no wonder, after all, former Bioware employees work here. In our preview, however, it quickly becomes clear that despite many great ideas, the developers still have a lot of work to do.
Apart from that, we have a lot of tests for you, including several real hits. In addition to our cover theme, there is the wonderful story adventure Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, the great remake Persona 3 Reload or the very successful fighting game sequel Tekken 8. Our verdict on the Monster Hunter alternative Granblue Fantasy: Relink is also surprisingly good out of. Another major title revealed significantly more problems in the test – albeit unsurprisingly: Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Of course, we'll tell you why the Rocksteady chaos might still be worth a look and what the developers need to tackle as quickly as possible.
