Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake performs poorly on the Xbox Series S. The Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 cannot convince either.
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake was analyzed in more detail by Digital Foundry and it was found that the game performed poorly, especially on the Xbox Series S.
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake relies on a dynamic resolution and has two graphics settings to offer: Quality and Performance. In quality mode, the goal is to achieve 4K natively, but this only happens in extremely rare cases on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Rather, you move between a resolution of 2240×1260 and 2880×1620. The Xbox Series S drops to 806×454 and 1280×720. Nanite and Lumen are used and every asset has been redesigned. The animations have also been greatly improved, resulting in a much better overall picture.
Digital Foundry describes the performance mode as out of place and not convincing. The resolution of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X is 1920×1080 and the Xbox Series S is 806×454 to 1280×720.
In performance mode, the Xbox Series X clearly beats the PlayStation 5 and has a constant frame rate advantage at all times.
