South Korean studio Mintrocket has announced the release of an update for the deep-sea role-playing adventure Dave the Diver. Despite its modest size, the patch brought good news for Russian-speaking players.
As it became known, eight and a half months after leaving early access, official support for the Russian language appeared in Dave the Diver – subtitles and interface elements were translated.
The developers did not talk in advance about plans to introduce Russian localization into Dave the Diver: just a month ago, on February 2, the TS-games team even released an unofficial translation for the game.
Otherwise, the March 11 patch (version 1.0.2.1307 for Windows and 1.0.2.380 for macOS) is positioned as a small patch to make a few improvements and fix some community-reported issues.
In particular, the developers added a pause when the controller is turned off while exploring the ocean, introduced the Dream Live mini-game (opens after the fourth chapter) and fixed a number of bugs.
Dave the Diver offers you, in the role of Dave, to explore the depths of the sea and fish during the day, and manage a sushi bar in the evening. Eccentric characters, a scattering of mini-games and an abundance of humorous scenes are included.
The release version of Dave the Diver was released on June 28, 2023 on PC (the game is not sold on Russian Steam), reached the Nintendo Switch on October 26, and will debut on PS4 and PS5 in April 2024. Sales exceeded 3 million copies.
