Forza Motorsport receives a major update 6 on Xbox Series X and PC in which it reforms the controversial upgrade system for tuning cars.
Forza Motorsport has received a major update today that addresses the complaints many players had about progression. Turn 10 Studios he pledged to reform a system that many considered unfair.
The result is the Update 6 from Forza Motorsport, the racing game for Xbox Series X|S and PC, available through Xbox Game Pass.
Already last year they recognized that “some players were not enjoying the improvement experience they expect from Forza Motorsport”, due to the level restriction of car parts, and the operation of credits and Car Points.
The changes to Forza Motorsport in Update 6
The first change is remove level restriction on performance parts, making them all available with Car Level 1. This allows players to install car parts in any order, regardless of Car Level, be it engine changes, tires, bodywork…
The second change is that players can now use in-game credits to purchase car points upon exiting the upgrade screen, at a rate of 4,500 credits for 500 car points.
“This change gives you the option to upgrade the car immediately using Credits or, if you are saving up Credits, you can earn Car Points for upgrades through leveling the car as before.”
Turn 10 also addresses other game issues, stability and experience improvements, new lighting options for the livery editor; changes to the pit exit at the Daytona circuit; and the addition of 8 music tracks composed by Kaveh Cohen, Michael Nielsen and Peter Holmstrom.
