It was recently hinted at on social media, and now it's confirmed: the wait for the final release date of the brawler MultiVersus is over.
Last week there were already indications via the official social media channels that we could expect an announcement of a release date for the brawler MultiVersus in the near future. This was definitely hyped at the start of early access, but this initial hype has since died down a bit. Now the title wants to rise to new heights in the finished game version.
Today, Warner Bros. Games made a point with a press release and announced a release date for the full version of the fighting game. The free-to-play title should finally take off from May 28, 2024.
From then on, the title will also receive a fresh PvE mode. There are also more playable heroes and personalities in the fighter selection, improved graphics, additional levels based on reimagined universes and environments and more.
The brawler was developed by Player First Games and focuses on cooperative online gameplay in which you can use a variety of popular characters from various Warner Discovery franchises. Among others, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn and Black Adam from the DC universe, Shaggy and Velma from Scooby-Doo as well as Bugs Bunny, the Tasmanian devil aka Taz and Marvin the Martian from Looney Tunes are on board. Other characters include Arya Stark from Game of Thrones, Tom and Jerry, protagonists from Adventure Time, Steven Universe or The Giant from Space as well as Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith from Rick and Morty.
The game will be released in free-to-play form with unlockable content for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store). Cross-play and cross-progression is fully supported between each platform. You can watch a new developer video attached.
