If possible, according to game director Gabe Amatangelo, a few little things will be added to “Cyberpunk 2077” in the future.
With Update 2.0 and the “Phantom Liberty” expansion, CD Projekt RED pulled one Final line under the development of “Cyberpunk 2077”. Smaller updates have still appeared since then.
Like Director Gabe Amatangelo in Interview mit Game File confirmed, the game itself is “finished.” However, as before, updates can still come out that add a few little things.
Maybe a few more little things
“There may be other little things here and there, because when you try things out you sometimes discover something that doesn't pose a big risk. Or it is easy to integrate. Or, you know, some developers have a certain range,” explains Amatangelo.
These developers then come to him with their idea. If the person's other work is not affected, he gives the green light for another update.
After “Phantom Liberty” was supposed to be the end, came along Update 2.1 but still added a relevant innovation: the subway system. This allows the player to quickly get to different points in Night City.
The Director on implementing this system: “My team had a plan to achieve this in a reasonable manner and in a reasonable time frame.”
Then the players awaited another small content update. This introduces the CrystalCoat feature to change the color of Rayfield vehicles. At the end of February a patch was finally released that fixed some errors. There could still be updates and patches of this kind.
The focus is now, of course, entirely on the successor:
“Cyberpunk 2077” is available for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC. PlayStation players pay in store 49,99 Euro. If you want to buy the story expansion straight away, you should go for the Ultimate Edition for 69.99 euros. However, this complete package is not available for the old consoles.
