March 12, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. – Players in Diablo 4 are currently using an exploit that massively increases their points in the Gauntlet. However, the Diablo devs promise that exploiters will not be perpetuated in the rankings.
For almost a week, Diablo 4 players have been able to let off steam in the new endgame challenge “Gauntlet”/trials. The best players with the highest number of points are immortalized on the leaderboards. The top players in the rankings are unreachable for normal players. This is not just due to the equipment and skills of these players. In some cases it will an exploit was exploited.
The Gauntlet exploit apparently allows players to cleverly exploit the game mechanics to pull all the mobs in the dungeon into a pile and thus achieve extremely high scores in a short time. On Reddit, Diablo's Global Community Development Director Adam Fletcher aka PezRadar replied that this Exploit will fix – however no more this Gauntlet week.
Gauntlet fix not until week 2, but no impact on rankings
Every week the Gauntlet rankings reset (every Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.). According to Adam Fletcher However, exploiters will not appear in the rankings. However, it is currently not clear whether exploiting the exploit will result in all of the player's runs not counting into the rankings.
The Community Development Director promises that the exploit will no longer be applicable in week 2 of the Gauntlet. This is good news and good communication from Blizzard.
The endgame feature itself isn't particularly well received. For many players, the Gauntlet is history after the first run. The dungeon's always the same structure sounded fair and sometimes challenging at the beginning. However, the level of difficulty is ultimately set too low for very well-equipped players, making the Gauntlet more of a kind of running simulator. Have you already taken the exams?
