Kunal Nayyar himself could not hold back his tears at this particular moment in the finale of The Big Bang Theory.
After 12 seasons, The Big Bang Theory said goodbye to us, and with it a new professional door was opened for all the actors and actresses in the series.
While some like Johnny Galecki decided to stay behind the camera with various projects, both Jim Parsons and Kaley Cuoco enjoyed starring roles later.
However, one of those actors The Big Bang Theory who could have gone somewhat unnoticed during the final scenes was Kunal Nayyar, who in an interview with The Paley Center opened up about the last lines of dialogue he gave in the series.
Own Kunal Nayyar He states that although during the days before filming the last episode of The Big Bang Theory he remained united and whole, in the end he could not hold back his tears, even though no one saw him.
He comments that he began to feel sad when he felt that he had said his character Raj's last words on the show and that he would never return to it.
“I don't think there is any written word in any language that can describe what I feel,” he said. “I'm feeling all that. I feel sad. I feel euphoric. I feel tired. “I screamed, I laughed, that's all.”
“I had maintained it pretty well,” he said. “But then in the last scene we were filming, they added a joke, and I said it and I thought I'd get another chance because we filmed most of the takes twice. But no, I understood and they said, 'Okay, let's move on.' And then those were the last words he was going to say as my character.”
In fact, he claims that when he left filming after the last day of recording he couldn't hold back his tearsand admitted that “I cried a lot.”
In a later interview, he revealed that a weight was lifted from his shoulders when the series came to an end. He affirms that this was neither a good feeling nor a bad feeling, but evidently after 12 seasons with the pressure of such a popular program, he could finally feel differently, more liberated.
