The Persona series recently reached 22.6 million copies sold globally. Such an impressive result is also made possible by Persona 3 Reloadthe remake of the third numbered chapter of the JRPG series which proved to be a successful operation by Atlus and SEGA.
As a demonstration of the good reception received by the JRPG, here we find Persona 3 Reload at the top of the rankings best-selling games in retail format in Japan at the end of February. Atlus' role-playing game, which launched on February 2, has sold 95,000 units. Famitsu notes that it's the first time in eight months that the best-selling title is a PlayStation 5 game. The PlayStation 4 version of the remake sold 52,000 copies.

In the meantime, Mario vs. Donkey Kong of Nintendo sold 89,000 units on the Switch console in February, while Granblue Fantasy: Relink by Cygames comes in third place with 63,000 copies. The Big N was the leading publisher in software sales in Japan, with 399,000 retail software units sold, surpassing Atlus' 153,000 units and Cygames' 93,000 copies. Nintendo makes up 30% of physical copies sold in total. Atlus is second with 12% of copies purchased, while Cygames is third, with sales of its titles representing 7% of the physical market in February.
