A big focus was placed on the new destructible environments, which are intended to provide a new dimension of strategic and tactical action in PUBG. In the next April update it should already be so far – players will be able to destroy parts of buildings and create barriers. Further gameplay updates should occur every two months and offer players greater variety. These include new game modes such as a team-versus-team system, but a “more relaxed gaming experience” will also be added with new modes.
The upcoming switch to Unreal Engine 5 was at least briefly mentioned, but there was no exact time frame. After all, preparations for UE5 are in full swing and should deliver the highest possible quality for visual upgrades of all assets. The situation is similar with user-generated content (UGC), which will be made possible over the course of the year – here the development team is also still in the preparation phase.
