If you've been playing Palworld since its release, you know that the game can sometimes absorb you for several hours. Unfortunately, all this time can quickly be lost due to a problem with backups erasing themselves. Rest assured, there is a very simple solution to remedy this problem.

A very disabling problem
At the end of last January, the studio Pocket Pair surprised everyone by releasing the video game Palworld. Originally described as a “Pokémon with guns” by many players and the press, it ultimately turned out to be a very different title from Nintendo's despite the very marked visual similarities. Indeed, Palworld is in fact much closer to the survival games of Valheim or ARK: Survival Evolved than to a game for collecting and training pocket monsters, even if the latter are an integral part of the adventure. From the first moments after its release, Palworld convinced a huge number of players, for several weeks. Several of them were directly caught up in the qualities of the game, to the point of no longer seeing the time pass.
Unfortunately, for a while now, a problem could spoil the party. Indeed, some Palworld players on Xbox found out to their cost that their saves could erase themselves. A real disaster that has happened even to the best among us and which is sometimes enough to simply put you off playing the game, especially if the unsaved period corresponds to several hours of play. Fortunately, the Palworld developers have surrendered account of the problem, and a solution is already in place.
A very simple solution
If you play Palworld on Xbox and don't want to lose precious hours of gameplay, you would do well to pay close attention to this detail before resuming your gaming sessions. From the menu of your Xbox, before To launch the game, make sure you are connected to the internet. Once done, launch Palworld and agree to download the latest update v0.1.5.2. Thanks to the latter, you should no longer have the slightest risk of losing your backups. Be careful though, if this has already happened to you, downloading the update will not allow you to recover your lost hours. You will then have no choice but to start again from the last backup.
For those more curious, this problem actually happened to players whose backup exceeded 16MB. A relatively low weight which can very quickly be reached in a survival game like Palworld. Fortunately, the developers spotted the problem fairly quickly and you will now be able to continue saving even if your files exceed this size. As a reminder, Palworld should soon welcome new content, even if it is still too early to know precisely what it will be. However, some of the features most awaited by players (PVP and end-of-game content) should arrive one day or another since they were part of the roadmap revealed by Pocket Pair.
