ViewSonic has released an inexpensive 27-inch 4K monitor, the VG2781-4K. The new product is designed specifically for users of Apple Mac computers. However, the monitor is also suitable for computers running Windows and other operating systems, and for consoles – the manufacturer claims compatibility with PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, as well as Nintendo Switch.
The ViewSonic VG2781-4K is based on a 10-bit (8-bit + FRC) IPS matrix with a resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels, a refresh rate of 60 Hz, a response time of 4 ms (GtG) and a peak brightness of 400 cd / m2.
The manufacturer claims 100% sRGB color space coverage for the screen, 95% DCI-P3 and 92% Adobe RGB. Color accuracy is DeltaE ≤ 2. The display is DisplayHDR 400 certified and supports SuperColor technology for improved brightness and color accuracy.
The ViewSonic VG2781-4K monitor is equipped with a pair of speakers with a power of 3 W each, one DisplayPort 1.2 connector, two HDMI 2.0, three USB 3.0 Type-A downstream, one USB 3.0 Type-B upstream, and one USB Type-C with alternative DisplayPort and 96W charging features. In addition, the new product received an ergonomic stand with the ability to adjust the height of the screen above the table, as well as its rotation and tilt angles.
ViewSonic VG2781-4K is already available on various Chinese online marketplaces, where it is offered for 1699 yuan (about $239). The manufacturer did not announce plans to release the new product to other markets.
