After a seventh season for Battlefield 2042 was announced by the responsible developers last year, it was quiet about the new content for the shooter for a long time. Last week, Electronic Arts promised to release a trailer that would introduce the season called Turning Point. Last evening at 5 p.m. German time the time had come. With the new trailer for the upcoming content, the developers also revealed that Turning Point will be launching in just a few days.
Next season will bring two new cards into play
As the developers state, the Turning Point season for Battlefield 2042 will bring two new maps, a new vehicle, new weapons, a new gadget, as well as some gameplay improvements. The core content of the new season, which launches on March 19, will be available to players through the free tiers of the Battle Pass, while additional cosmetics will be offered through the premium version of the pass.

Season 7 of Battlefield 2042 introduces the new Harbor map, inspired by popular maps from previous Battlefield installments. These include Arica Harbor from Bad Company 2, Attack on Karkand from Battlefield 2 and Amiens from Battlefield 1. In the course of the new season, the new map Stadium will also be released, on which the modes Breakthrough, Conquest, Rush, Team Deathmatch and Free For Everything is played.
The seventh season brings new weapons, such as the AK 5C assault rifle and the SCZ-3 submachine gun. With the wire-guided missile Predator SRAW, a gadget from the past of the shooter series returns. Additionally, Battlefield 2042 will be running a free access period from March 21st to March 24th on all platforms. Players who do not own the shooter will have access to all playable content including the weapons included in Season 7.
