Electronic Arts and the development team at Battlefield 2042 today reveal Battlefield 2042 Season 7: Turning Point. Season 7 launches on March 19th and features epic yet desperate on-site battles between all factions as well as extended environmental destruction. With two new maps, a new vehicle, new weapons, a new gadget and numerous gameplay improvements, Season 7 offers the most new content in a season since the release of Battlefield 2042. This core content will be available to all players as part of the 30 free tiers of the Season 7 Battle Pass. Additional cosmetic items are available through the premium version of the Battle Pass.
Season 7 introduces a new map, “Port,” which takes players to Chile in the Atacama Desert. In the fight to control the region and capture a key water reservoir, Russian troops have allied themselves with a new enemy known as the Thousand Petals Coalition. Port's suburban setting features a mix of infantry and vehicular combat and is inspired by popular maps from Battlefield's long history, including Arica Harbor (Bad Company 2), Assault on Karkand (Battlefield 2), and Amiens (Battlefield 1). .
Additionally, Season 7: Turning Point includes numerous new items. The AK 5C assault rifle is the perfect weapon for close combat with its excellent balance of firepower and precision. The SCZ-3 submachine gun is a devastating close-combat option, especially with an upgraded drum magazine that reduces the need to reload the weapon. The lightweight MG DFR Strife offers players the best of both worlds. The weapon can be equipped with a belt feed to maintain the magazine size and firepower of an LMG without limiting the mobility of an assault rifle. With the Predator SRAW, a wire-guided missile for eliminating land and air vehicles, a classic from Battlefield history returns to the gadget repertoire. Players can also use the XFAD-4 Draugr to control a modern, remote-controlled bomber armed with EMP bombs and radar-guided missiles.
In addition to new content, Season 7 also includes a new Battle Pass with powerful weapons and a useful gadget that can give you a decisive advantage in battle – because every help counts. There are also new premium cosmetic items that allow players to intimidate the opposition better than ever before. After registering for Season 7, Year 1 Pass owners who have not played the previous two seasons will immediately unlock all hardware from Season 5 and Season 6 – including VHX D3 (assault rifle), G428 (DMR), BFP.50 (handgun), YUV-2 Pondhawk (vehicle), health and ammo bags, grenade variants and more.
Season 7 will also see the release of the new Stadium map, offering an all-infantry experience with intense close-quarters combat in Breakthrough, Conquest, Rush, Team Deathmatch and Free For All modes. The new map was one of the community's most requested additions. Stadium was previously part of the Hourglass map before it was reworked and turned into a standalone map with an updated look.
