After trying to understand who wins on the Cloud between PlayStation and Xbox, Digital Foundry journalists have put together a new technical video analysis dedicated, this time, to the debug menu of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 'forgotten' by Insomniac Games with the 'update that introduced the New Game Plus.
The secret menu of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 that threatened to make PlayStation 5 players lose saves and trophies, in fact, was none other than the debug menu used internally by the developers of Insomniac Games to give shape to the wall-crawler's free roaming adventure .
Taking advantage of this serious oversight by the Californian subsidiary of PlayStation Studios, however resolved within a few hours with a hotfix, the guys at Digital Foundry were thus able to exploit the Marvel's Spider-Man 2 debug menu to their advantage to carry out a whole series Of performance test of the PS5 exclusive and create real 'unofficial' benchmarks on the computational power of the Sony console.
From technical details on Marvel's Spider-Man 2 graphics presets to hidden contents of New York map with the secret areas used by Insomniac to test the movement system and the combat system of Peter Parker and Miles Morales, the Digital Foundry film is a real mine of information which, however, shows the side to the inevitable spoilers on the progression of the activities to be carried out in the main campaign and on the bosses to face before reaching the end credits, consequently we recommend viewing it only and exclusively to those who have already completed the superhero adventure exclusively on PlayStation 5.
