Huawei has not yet commented anything, and the matter is taking everyone by surprise. However, it seems that the Mate 60 line smartphones, and probably also the P60, with HarmonyOS support, have just received an update with support for Google services.
Yes, we are talking about official support, rather than all the “hacking” that has been necessary over the last few years.
Surprise! Huawei has updated with Google!
Therefore, according to what has been said and tested, the Mate 60 line smartphones are receiving official support for GMS services (Google Mobile Services), thanks to a new HarmonyOS update.
Obviously, the update does not have Google's Play Store installed or anything like that. However, just go to the Huawei application store (App Gallery), install an application and some plug-ins, and things start working completely normally.
This means that it is now possible to access YouTube, Gmail, Google Photos, Google Maps, Waze, etc… Just like before, without problems or headaches.
Does this have an impact on the market?
Yes and no. In other words, it won't happen immediately, but in the very near future, it could be a great help for Huawei's big return to the Global market.
Huawei's latest smartphones didn't arrive here, because there has long been no demand to justify launches in Europe.
However, after the success of the Mate 60 on the Asian continent, everything indicates that Huawei wants to come back with strength. So, apparently, you found a super easy way to do it with the help of Google… Whether you want it or not.
This is a news update! Stay tuned!
