iFood allows you to make payments in a variety of ways. One of them is through Apple Pay and Google Wallet (formerly Google Pay) – payment platforms and digital wallets present on iPhones and Androids, respectively.
Today, continuing our table of tips and tutorials, check out below how to make your payments on the delivery platform using Apple and Google services.
Apple Pay and Google Wallet are payment and digital wallet services and have basically the same operation and purpose. In them, among other functions, the user can register their cards to make payments online and in person (using the function of bringing the cell phone closer to the card machine).
iFood, in addition to accepting direct registration of credit and debit cards – in addition to some other payment methods, also allows the user to add Apple Pay or Google Pay linked to their smartphone.
However, not all establishments registered with iFood may accept the payment method; so this factor may vary between locations. In any case, you can check this at the time of ordering.
To make payments using the Google and Apple platforms, you already need to have your cards registered there. To register, check out our other tutorials:
Now that you've registered your cards, learn how to use Google Wallet or Apple Pay to pay for your orders on iFood:
With iFood open on your smartphone, when placing an order, proceed to your bag. Now in the payment section tap on “Trocar”; Select the payment tab through the app and select Apple Pay or Google Pay as a form of payment; Tap the “Review order” button to proceed; A Google or Apple service screen will appear asking you to choose the desired card (if more than one card is registered) and the authentication method to confirm the payment. Check the order information. If everything is OK, tap “All very well” or wait for the end of the timer to confirm the order.
Upon receipt of the order by iFood, the amount will be deducted from your card through the Google or Apple platform.
