Final Fantasy crushes the competition on Xbox
If you are a fan of the saga Final Fantasy, your evenings are surely currently reserved for rediscovering the universe of the seventh episode. In fact, for several weeks, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is finally released exclusively on PlayStation 5, and players can finally discover the continuation of the adventures of Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith and the rest of the gang. However, this is not the only episode of the license to make the news at the moment. Indeed, while the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV prepares its arrival on Xbox, the latter has already risen to the top of the ranking of the most played free games on the platform.
You read correctly, Final Fantasy. Since February 21, the MMORPG has indeed launched its open beta on the Microsoft console, and suffice to say that the players are there. A way perhaps to prove that Xbox Series owners would like to be able to enjoy the games from this legendary license, even if it may be necessary to ignore the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy. While the game is still not officially released on this console, Xbox players seem to be preparing an excellent welcome for this MMORPG whose quality has already been proven many times.
The final version soon on Xbox
While the Final Fantasy XIV open beta was launched without giving precise dates as to its end, we now know when the latter will give way to the official launch of the game on Xbox Series. In fact, a few days ago, the developers took advantage of the Xbox Partner Preview to announce that Final Fantasy XIV would be available in a full version on March 21, in just over a week.
If you want to be able to enjoy the game in its entirety, however, you will have to be careful. Indeed, unlike the PlayStation version, you will have no choice but to subscribe to two different subscriptions to be able to enjoy all the content of the MMORPG. Once the trial phase of the game is over (which still allows you to reach level 70 and play the entire scenario up to the Stormblood expansion), you will need to subscribe to the both the game itself and the Xbox Game Pass to continue your adventure. Note that to celebrate the launch of the game on Xbox Series, all Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to pick up the Starter Edition of the game at no additional cost until April 19. The latter includes 30 days of subscription to the game.
