Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov wrote on Facebook that mass production of ground-based drones (robotic platforms) for various purposes will begin in Ukraine. According to Fedorov, thanks to the Brave1 platform, more than 50 models have already been tested at the test site.
We are talking about kamikaze drones, turrets with weapons, miners and deminers, as well as platforms for delivering goods and rescuing the wounded. The purpose of production and implementation is to minimize human presence on the battlefield.
“The robots have successfully proven themselves on the training ground, in a few months they will be on the battlefield – hundreds of different platforms will be purchased through UNITED24. We continue to develop innovations so that the Defense Forces can purchase them,” writes the minister.
According to Fedorov, ground robots will be able to change the situation at the front in the same way that aerial drones have already done. He called them an asymmetrical response to the Russian occupiers' superiority in numbers.
“More than 140 robotic systems are registered on the Brave1 platform, 96 of them have passed defense examination, 14 developments have been codified according to NATO standards. Some of these robots are already working at the front, for example the ShaBlya turret.
The Brave1 platform's efforts are aimed at mass-producing ground-based drones. The state, in turn, will begin their mass purchase. According to Fedorov, ground-based drones will repeat the path that UAVs have recently traveled.
