In the past there have been repeated rumors that the appearance and the attention that came with it as Anakin Skywalker was one of the reasons why Jake Lloyd is struggling with mental illness today. His mother also spoke up about this:
“He loves all the new Star Wars stuff. People always think he hates Star Wars. He loves to. (His illness) would have happened anyway. I believe it was genetic. And his psychiatrist also previously agreed that Jake would become schizophrenic.”
“People say he stopped acting because of Star Wars. That's not true. It had nothing to do with Star Wars. It had a lot more to do with our family. We were going through a divorce. Times were turbulent and really hard. And Jake didn't seem to be having much fun auditioning anymore.”
When is the next Star Wars film coming?
