PlayStation 5 updates to 9.00. A few hours ago, Sony published the new console software update after the usual Beta period. Many new features have been introduced, from elements of secondary importance, such as the new settings for the power LED of the PS5, to others which are much more relevant, such as a improvement of the microphone and the audio reproduced by the DualSense.
PlayStation 5: DualSense microphone improved thanks to AI
The PS5 DualSense, which was also updated yesterday together with other peripherals such as PlayStation VR2, Access and the various Headsets, will now be able to capture our voice more clearly. This is possible thanks to a new machine learning model using Artificial Intelligence. Through this model, disturbing elements such as key presses or game audio will be attenuated in order to offer greater voice clarity. The quality of the sound produced by the DualSense speakers has also been improved, now capable of offering clearer and more powerful sounds.
The new Party and Screen Sharing features now allow the player to send emojis or point to specific parts of the screen. Through the use of a pointer, we will be able to indicate to the player the solution to overcome a given level. The emoji used will also be available in messages. You can find the rest of the changelog on the official website. In the meantime, we remind you that Sony has revealed the new games that will become part of the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalogues.
