Although Cyberpunk 2077 was released more than three years ago, developers from CD Projekt RED continue to add new content and secrets to the game. Until recently, one of them was hidden right in the main menu.
As noted by the PC Gamer portal, user X under the pseudonym crushovitz recently shared with his discovery: immediately after the launch of Cyberpunk 2077, you can find a small “Easter egg” from the developers in the game.
If you click on the current version number of Cyberpunk 2077 (currently 2.12) in the upper right corner of the main menu, after cycling through a few symbols and numbers, the game will change it to 2.0.77.

Exactly when CD Projekt RED added this Easter egg to Cyberpunk 2077 is unclear, but one of the lead developers of the game and its sequel breathed a sigh of relief when he learned of the discovery of crushovitz.
“Great find. I’ve already begun to doubt that you chumbas will ever find (this “Easter egg”)! They hid it too well,” commented assistant to the head of development of the sequel Cyberpunk 2077 Paweł Sasko.
It is noteworthy that this is the second Easter egg discovered by fans this week. Last week, a photo of the development team was found hidden in the game's world in Cyberpunk 2077 (see video above).
Cyberpunk 2077 was released in December 2020 on PC (Steam, GOG, EGS), PS4 and Xbox One, and in February 2022 it reached PS5, Xbox Series X and S. In September 2023, the game received the Phantom Liberty addon.
