To run the project you will need Dark Souls 3.
A demo version of Dark Souls Archthrones, a fan project in the Dark Souls universe, has been released. A group of enthusiasts spent four years making the prequel to Dark Souls 3, and now the modders are ready to show the project to the community.
Dark Souls Archthrones is made on the Dark Souls 3 engine, but tells its own story. Players will see new locations and opponents, receive new weapons and equipment, and new bosses will also appear.
The developers of Dark Souls Archthrones not only created a lot of new content, but also improved the engine: the prequel Dark Souls 3 will receive improved graphics and fabric physics. System requirements are quite modest:
CPU: Intel Core i5-9400F. GPU: GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. RAM: 4 GB. HDD: 12 GB.
The Dark Souls Archthrones demo is 11 gigabytes in size and can be downloaded from NexusMods. Installation instructions are published here.
There is no information about when the full version of the project will be released.
