“When there are more, well there are still more” sang a certain Belgian artist. History does not say whether this developer worked on Stromae, but in any case, he intends to apply this Maxim to his cult game.
Stardew Valley, the game with a thousand updates
What a great story that is Stardew Valley. The farming game developed by one man, Eric ConcernedApe Barone, was released 8 years ago now. Before that, he experienced a whole bunch of adventures, which Panthaa already told you about in a JV Legends. As you can see, the story of Stardew Valley is a long one. And this applies both before and after launch.t. With the years that have passed, one would have expected that Stardew Valley would eventually run out of steam. Especially since its creator is currently working on a new title, namely Haunted Chocolatier.
And despite everything, updates continue to abound on Stardew Valley. With each announcement, it's always the same joy and theories fly from the players' side. The interest is therefore still present. On March 19, the big update 1.6 will be deployed. On the program: three new festivals (one major, two minor), new objects, 100 additional lines of dialogue, a new type of farm, a little more end game content and the addition of multіjоuеur at 8 ѕur PC, among other things. Does it make you envious ? Well you will certainly be delighted to learn that this update is far from the last.
The video game updated for eternity?
And yet, it could have been, like all the previous ones. Among our colleagues at Polygon, ConcernedApe admitted that he couldn't let go of his first baby: “I feel like the boy who cried wolf because I said multiple times {that this would be the last update} and I always end up making a new update for Stardew Valley.” It must be said that the man has already explained that the farm game was “his life’s work.” Its goal is therefore clear: making sure it's just perfect. And for that, a whole life may be necessary.
This is why ConcernedApe is leaving doubt today. It no longer speaks of “latest update”. Better yet, it doesn't rule out the fact that Stardew Valley can be updated for eternity. Still at Polygon, he entrusts the future of the game to destiny: “Who knows? I don't think I'll ever finish this book. The book is still open.” As a result, while 1.6 has not yet been released, we can't wait to hear about the next one.
