For the upcoming fifth anniversary of Anno 1800, the developers are announcing a livestream for the same day: April 16th, at 5 p.m., as usual on Twitch. Laura from the art team will be a guest. Laura will not only talk about her work as an artist in the Anno team, but also introduce the upcoming cosmetic DLC: the Steampunk Pack.
The Steampunk Pack
The developers provide little insight into the new cosmetic DLC in their blog post. However, an almost 20-second teaser video and a screenshot were published last week. The style of the DLC can be clearly seen in the video. There are Victorian-style buildings on display, as well as a steam locomotive and a freight ship from the same period. In the screenshot, however, you can see a mountain in the water with a windmill and an airship.

What to expect for the DLC?
The release of the 14th cosmetic DLC is planned for May. Until then there will be occasional teasers. A DevBlog with all the details was also announced. This should appear shortly before the release of the DLC. From the experience of the last DLC releases, probably two weeks before its release. Further news is planned for the month of April. The publication can probably be expected at the beginning of May.
The future of Anno 1800
Apart from the Steampunk Pack, nothing else has been announced by the developers. There will probably be no new features, only cosmetic enhancements. In the medium term, however, the idea of a successor is in the offing. When this will be announced can only be speculated. Now it's time for all Anno fans to wait and celebrate Anno 1800's fifth birthday soon.
