Test anything before release? Well, why?
Yesterday morning, a collection of re-releases of the original Star Wars Battlefront went on sale. But, as often happens in the modern gaming industry, the developers from Aspyr did not carry out the most basic calculations, as a result of which the server capacity they allocated turned out to be critically insufficient to cope with the sudden post-release load. As a result, Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection currently has a 19 percent user rating on Steam, and reviews consist solely of complaints about the number of servers that are not able to serve and accommodate everyone who wants to play.
A day passed, and now, Aspyr still deigned to admit that the collection of reissues has problems with network functionality. The developers promise to solve the problems.
For what reason modern video game developers allow themselves to treat their audiences so unsatisfactorily, everything also remains a secret.
