There are new rumors circulating on the Internet that talk about Samsung's next smartwatch and reveal some interesting news. That said, it has become known that the Galaxy Watch 7 may be available in three different variants. Despite this, there is one thing that the three have in common. A faster processor.
Galaxy Watch 7 arrives in three variants and 30% faster!
Samsung's Galaxy Watch range has, since the 2021 Wear OS re-issue, released two models per year. 2021 saw the Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic, while 2022 saw the Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro. Last year, Samsung reverted to the Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic.
This year, Samsung will apparently launch a Galaxy Watch 7 Classic, a Watch 7 Pro, and a mysterious third variant. This according to @kro_roe on Twitter/X, a well-known leakster. This could simply be the basic, sporty model that Samsung usually releases, but there are rumors that the company is also working on a smartwatch with a square screen.
Meanwhile, another leakster on Twitter/X, @TheGalox_, claims that the Galaxy Watch 7's new Exynos W940 will be 30% faster and 50% more energy efficient. This big jump in efficiency would be in line with rumors from late last year, where Biz News Daily reported that the Galaxy Watch 7's chip could be Samsung's first 3nm chipset. Samsung has been working on its 3nm process for some time now, with initial production announced in mid-2022 and the company having already begun testing a second-generation process.
It is difficult to know for sure whether all this will be confirmed or not. However, these rumors seem to line up with other reports we've heard. In any case, we don't have to wait long to find out, with the Galaxy Watch 7 debuting in July with the Galaxy Ring and the new foldables.
