Friends, now I will tell you how to turn your tablet into a full-fledged computer that can be used for office work, education or just entertainment. You will be surprised, but this requires a minimum of cost and your effort.
How to turn a tablet into a full-fledged laptop
Let's start with costs. Everything is simple here: you need to buy a separate Bluetooth keyboard and Bluetooth mouse. They connect quickly and easily and require no fuss with wires and adapters. And it’s Bluetooth, and not those options that work wirelessly using a special adapter.
But, friends, forget about cheap nonames from Aliexpress. The keyboard and mouse must, first of all, be of high quality. My personal advice is Logitech products. Their wireless keyboards even work with iPads, so you'll save a ton of money on the original keyboard case. Well, if you are basically concerned about the issue of money.
With Bluetooth mice everything is simpler: they are cheaper and there are plenty of options on the market.
Well, we have put together such a setup. What's next?
And then I will tell you about the software. Owners of Samsung tablets are the luckiest in this regard, because their tablets have the Dex function. After turning it on, a desktop appears with icons like on Windows, there is a taskbar at the bottom, and the tablet goes into multitasking mode.
To enable it, go to settings, look for the Samsung Dex item and launch the function. A couple of clicks – and you have a desktop like on Windows, with all the features and features.
Okay, but what if you have a non-Samsung tablet? You can install an application called Computer Launcher 3 – PC mode on absolutely all Android tablets. It can be easily found on Google Play.
This application opens up to the user all the features of Windows: the ability to create folders on the desktop, go to Explorer and see the phone’s memory in the form of a hard drive, create shortcuts, design the taskbar and message center. There's even a start button. Everything is like real laptops.
After downloading and installing the program, we need to go to the tablet settings, open the “Desktop” item and select PC mode. The style of your desktop will immediately change.
This is such a cool launcher. The only caveat is that on older tablets with not very productive hardware it can be glitchy, especially when multitasking. But if you have a more or less modern model and at least an entry-level mid-level processor, you don’t have to worry, everything will go like clockwork.
All the features I described work not only on tablets, but also on smartphones. The same Samsung Dex mode can be enabled on Samsung phones, but only on flagships. Computer Launcher 3 is simpler: it will launch on any Android phone. But does it make sense to turn a smartphone into a laptop… that's another question.
Here we are talking exactly about the topic of how to replace a laptop with a tablet. What do you think? Can a tablet with a connected keyboard and mouse become a worthy replacement for a laptop?
