Although the top-down survival car shooter Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor from the Danish studio Funday Games has just begun its journey in early access, it already has something to please its creators.
Let us remind you that Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor launched on February 14 in Steam Early Access and in just a week it sold over 500 thousand copies around the world, surpassing the main game in the series, Deep Rock Galactic, in peak online traffic on the platform.
As it became known, within a month of its appearance in early access, sales of Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor exceeded 1 million copies. In comparison, the original DRG reached this peak two years after its debut.
The announcement of reaching the top of 1 million copies sold, the developers of Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor accompanied a video with a selection of reactions of famous streamers to the failures that befell them in the game.
In terms of gameplay, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is most similar to Vampire Survivors. Players need to kill bugs, mine valuable minerals, improve equipment and dive further into the deadly depths of the planet Hoxes-4.
The game launched with four heroes, 40 types of weapons, 20 types of monsters, three biomes, a progression system, procedural generation (caves, enemy waves) and text translation into Russian.
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is sold on Russian Steam for 385 rubles. The first of “many” updates as part of early access – with a fourth biome (Salt Pits) and new monsters – will be released on March 20.
