Minecraft welcomed the Marketplace Pass in the last few hours, but very shortly after the latest innovations introduced, important communications arrive from Microsoft: Minecraft's latest update could wipe out all your worlds. This is a problem of no small importance and quite serious, but how can all this be avoided?
Microsoft itself has taken action by communicating in detail, through the official website of the Redmond company, how to proceed with the latest Minecraft update. “We understand that sometimes things can go wrong, and we want you to know that we are working to resolve frustrating experiences reported to us by members of our Xbox community.” At the moment, however, the company recommends Don't download the latest Minecraft update through the Xbox PC app. This could indeed cause the above problems, as specified by the company.
“It is recommended that you run the Gaming Services Repair Tool for PC from the Xbox app on PC before installing any Minecraft updates.” To access this section you will need to launch the previously mentioned app, click on your profile image, go to the “support” section and select the tool in question. After the latest Minecraft patch which added mods to consoles too, the first problems have arrived, but we just have to wait for more details from Microsoft to find out more.
