Whether because you had a problem with the platform, or because you decided to save on ordering costs, deleting your iFood account is super simple – as you can see below, in another of our tutorials.
When you choose to delete your iFood account, the platform will delete all information linked to you in the system, including your name, addresses, order history and others. The remaining balance in your wallet will also be lost. After the request, the account is deactivated and the company asks for a period of up to 45 days to complete the complete deletion.
Because of this, a deleted account cannot be recovered. So, before even starting step by step, reflect. If you just want to take a break from the app and get rid of notifications, perhaps deleting the app from your phone or turning off alerts would be enough.
But calm down! If you choose to opt out and, in the future, decide to return to iFood, simply register again and use the application again. Your past information will no longer be there, but you will be able to return to placing orders normally.
Aware of the consequences, check the instructions:
With iFood open on your smartphone, tap “Profile” in the bottom menu and tap on the “Help”; On the new screen, tap “Privacy and data” to see some extra options; Tap “I want to delete my account”.
You learned how to delete your iFood account!
If you arrived here because you would like to log out of an account that is on a device that you no longer have access to, deletion is (or was) not necessary! This is because iFood allows you to log out remotely from other devices – as we teach in this other tutorial.
